Joanne Bentley, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Utah State University
She is currently an assistant professor in Utah State University's Instructional Technology Department in Logan, where she teaches a variety of graduate classes concerning research and evaluation methods, learning theory, implementation of technology, grant writing, and visual design. Her research is focused around the development and evaluation of internet-based instruction as it accounts for individual differences in learning, including culture and learner preferences. She is particularly interested in exploring new instructional strategies for personalized dynamic-delivery of instruction.
     
Victor Bunderson, Ph.D.
Professor, Emeritus
Brigham Young University

Dr. Bunderson's work began at the University of Texas and Brigham Young University, where he was PI on the $5 million NSF-financed TICCIT computer-aided instruction project. He has co-founded several companies involving advanced computer and information technologies, and education and training applications. Since 1991, he has worked with a cadre of talented PhD students, which led to Validity-Centered Design, and built the foundations for Learning Progress Systems.
     
Margaret Martinez, Ph.D.

Dr. Martinez has worked on educational measurement research, instructional design, learning, and technology for 20 years. She was previously the Worldwide Director of Training & Certification at WordPerfect Corporation. She is nationally recognized for her learning orientation research, publishes regularly, presents at national conferences, and presents seminars and workshops.
     
Van A. Newby, Ph.D.

Dr. Newby holds a B.S. in mathematics, a Ph.D. in economics, and a Post Doc in measurement. He was Acting President & CEO of Alpine Media. Since April 2000, he co-founded the EduMetrics Institute and has served as the Vice President and a trustee. EduMetrics is founded on the principle that learning is a dynamic and individualized process, best optimized by accurate measurement and assessment of learning progress.
     
Jim B. Olsen, Ph.D.
VP & Chief Scientist

Dr. Olsen, an experienced pyschometrician for Alpine Media Corporation, consults regularly with corporations and national and state agencies concerning technology, instruction and assessment. He has served as the PI for many National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Education grants. Dr. Olsen also serves as Adjunct Faculty, Instructional Psychology and Technology Department at Brigham Young University.
